Earth, Air, Fire, and Water

By Frankie Armstrong

(From the album "Tam Lin")

Earth, Air, Fire and Water
Streams run swift and lakes lie deep
The Queen's son weds the old King's daughter
In hidden pools the salmon leap

Earth, Water, Air and Fire
The longest night foretells the dawn
As day dims the sparks fly higher
Brightness bursts from the bitter thorn

Earth, Water, Fire and Air
And the echoing world the loud winds cry
When you reach the end the begining's there
The sun and moon meet in the sky.

Fire, Water, Air & Earth
Hope Mocks time Forever More
And every death a gate to birth
Frost splits the rock but the hills endure
