So I've spent an entire 45 minutes doing this research. I made 6 searches. First, for each candidate, I counted all the bills either sponsored or co-sponsored by the candidate between 1/1/2006 and 1/1/2008. Next, I counted all the ones which either became law or were amendments that were passed. Then, I measured legislative success as a percentage of the bills past into the bills sponsored or cosponsored. If this methodology has flaws, I will be interested to hear about them. I did this research entirely by myself without any input of any kind, so it is certainly possible that I have made some obvious error or other. Please let me know.
The results show that Hillary Clinton's success rate is 35.3% while Barack Obama's is 41.6% and Ron Paul's is only 15.4%. This is just for the calendar years of 2006 and 2007.
I have included all the data below for your convenience.
